VOLUNTEER
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Volunteers are an integral part of the Amherst Center for Senior Services. Whether you wish to be of service as a way to meet new people, pursue a passion, or simply “give-back”, we can help you find your volunteer niche.
Members of the Center are invited to be part of an award-winning volunteer program. Our database consists of hundreds of volunteers who have provided tens of thousands hours of service each year both at the Senior Center and throughout the WNY community. Our volunteers are a positive force in the community!
How it Works:
Simply complete a Volunteer Application and submit it to the Volunteer Department. If an opportunity is available, a member of our staff will contact you to determine your interest. New volunteers may choose to provide service right at the Amherst Center for Senior Services where there is a variety of options.
Options:
Gift Shop, Cafe, Coffee Table, Community Service Clubs, Performance Groups, Special Events & Programs, and Much More!
Training:
Once you have chosen an ideal spot, you are trained by current volunteers in that area. Our training encompasses a positive code of conduct that emphasizes “respect for diversity”.
